Where required, you will be shown a cookie banner allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies before they are set. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Declining cookies will not affect your ability to submit a loan application.
International Data Transfers
Some of the technology providers we use – including Google, Meta, and our website hosting provider – may process information on servers located outside Zimbabwe. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection, consistent with Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].
Data Retention
We retain loan application information, including supporting documents such as ID copies and payslips, for as long as reasonably necessary to assess your application and service your loan. In line with Zimbabwe’s Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act [Chapter 9:24] and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe AML/CFT/CPF requirements, which apply to registered lenders, we retain customer due diligence records, including identification and supporting financial documents, for a minimum of five (5) years after the end of your relationship with us. Where a longer period is required for an active dispute, audit, or legal proceeding, we will retain the relevant records for as long as that matter remains open. After the applicable period, records are deleted or anonymised.

Regulatory Information (Zimbabwe)
Zibuko Capital’s processing of personal information is governed by Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07] and regulations issued by the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ), the Data Protection Authority.
Data Protection Officer contact: a dedicated Data Protection Officer has not yet been appointed under S.I. 155 of 2024. Privacy-related enquiries can be directed to us using the contact details below in the meantime.
POTRAZ data-controller licence status: not yet confirmed.
